Expressions of interest for industry-funded PhD in agriculture sector


NSW Department of Primary Industries is seeking expressions of interest from people to undertake a PhD in comparing the consequences of a change in irrigated cotton and dairy production to the water footprint of these industries. This is an industry-funded project and project deliverables will be closely aligned to industry needs.

Potential applicants must fulfil the requirements of entry into a PhD program (e.g. honours degree or equivalent). Applicants must also be eligible to apply for Research Training Program place (see https://www.education.gov.au/research-training-program-frequently-asked-questions-students for more information). Applicants need to demonstrate an understanding of Australian irrigated cotton and/or dairy production, whole-farm economics and market dynamics of the Australian agricultural sector.

A stipend will be offered to the successful candidate. Please email expressions of interest to waterfootprintproject@gmail.com outlining your suitability for the project.
