Since the AGM in July it is my honour to be president of the Australian LCA Society. Over the past few years, ALCAS has put important programs in place, facilitating LCACP certification in collaboration with ACLCA and the EPD-Australasia program with LCANZ. There are ongoing efforts to maintain, extend and expand the reach of AusLCI.
Over the next period, we will be reconsidering the position and purpose of ALCAS. The work ALCAS does reaches well beyond the relatively small membership base of LCA experts, and keeping all the work going in that context can be a bit of a struggle. Please consider joining ALCAS as an individual, student or corporate member if you haven’t already.
We are also keen to hear from you if you have any suggestions or would like to join one of our committees (AusLCI, Professional development, Members and advocacy, Impact assessment, Conference). You can always send an email to president@alcas.asn.au.
