The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) will appoint an LCA consultant to provide input into the development of credits in Green Star for New Building, the first rating tool delivered under the Future Focus program of works.
The consultant will provide answers to questions such as:
What Standard(s) should LCA reference in Green Star for New Buildings, and to what level of compliance?
How can Green Star embed LCA early in the design stage and throughout the life of the construction project?
What are the fundamental high-impact materials used in construction, and which could be considered to be a minimum set of data to be included in an LCA?
An Expression of Interest (EOI) to review the consultant brief can be found here. The GBCA will issue the brief only to those consultants that meet pre-qualification criteria.
