The Global CO2 Initiative, which was launched at the 2016 World Economic Forum, has published Life Cycle and Techno-economic Assessment Guidelines. These guidelines are founded on the belief that LCA is necessary to prove that a technology could contribution to the mitigation of environmental impacts and the Techno-economic Assessment (TEA) will show how that technology could be competitively delivered in the market. The guidelines help LCA and TEA to act as a toolkit for promoting carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology development.
