Study: Internet of Things (IoT) help Transport & Logistic companies improve sustainability
New research conducted by satellite communications company Inmarsat found that nearly two-thirds of transport organizations are pursuing industrial Internet of Things technology (IIoT) to improve their environmental footprint. Transport and logistics companies are often faced with the challenge of reducing their impact on the environment with strict government regulations and increasing demand for transport for goods and people. In the study, 75% of respondents with fully deployed or trial-stage IIoT solutions are achieving improvements in their sustainability efforts, helping these companies reach their sustainability objectives. The most impactful solutions include smart asset tracking, real-time route planning, environmental and fuel efficiency monitoring and telemetry. Read the report here.
