Call for LCA Studies and Experts on Supermarket Food Packaging


Europe's Life Cycle Initiative (LCI) are working on the meta analysis on single-use plastic food packaging and its alternatives. We are looking for relevant LCA studies that cover reusable options (e.g., “zero-waste” supermarkets/refill stations and grocery delivery in returnable containers) or alternatives to food packaging (e.g., sweet wrappers, snack food packaging). If you are doing research in this area, we would be very pleased to hear from you. We are also welcoming experts who are interested to participate in reviewing the publication.

Please indicate your interest to Margaritaand Pippa no later than 19 November 2021. The upcoming meta-analysis is the latest in the series of studies of the Life Cycle on single-use plastic packaging (see image below), and it is kindly funded by the USEPA.
