Global Experts to Speak at 2019 ALCAS Conference
Updated Dec 12 2018: Jori Coustillas, Product Owner from Pré will now be presenting at the ALCAS Conference instead of Eric Mieras as previously announced.
ALCAS have announced that Olivier Jolliet, co-initiator of UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, and Eric Mieras, Managing Director of leading sustainability consultancy Pré will both be keynote speakers at upcoming LCA Conference.
Swiss born Olivier Jolliet is a Professor of Environmental Health Science at the University of Michigan. His work and reputation are both global. Having co-initiated the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, he is the current Scientific Manager for its Life Cycle Impact Assessment program.
At the University and Michigan, Jolliet leads the Impact and Risk Modeling (iMod) Laboratory, which aims to provide scientific knowledge for assessing environmental risks and impacts of chemicals and consumer products.
Product Owner from Netherlands based Pré sustainability consultancy, Jori Coustillas will present on the topic "Digital Transformation in LCA", highlighting digital developments and demonstrating how they apply to LCA.
Pré has been at the forefront of sustainable development for over 25 years and has been responsible for putting the metrics into sustainability. The company developed the world’s most widely used LCA software, SimaPro and has actively participated in many European projects for LCA research and development.
These outstanding international experts will be joined by local professionals including Nicole Sullivan, Senior Manager - Green Star Solutions at GBCA and Lou Dyer, Innovation Manager at KeepCup.
Other speakers will be announced in the weeks ahead and the topics and workshop sessions will continue to be developed and refined.
